The old woman.

https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/fireside-chat/

the little old woman

all huddled up and bent

sits everyday at the corner

has no relatives no friends

……………………………………………………

the wrinkles on her face

the squinting eyes

the calcified grin

speak a lot about her life

……………………………………………….

i would love to sit her down

and get to know her well

what was her heaven

what was her hell

………………………………………………

as i wait for the fireside chat

i think about her grief

where was the family she belonged to

who will cry when she leaves.
